AS201040 is ILIONA GROUP’s network in the Paris region, operated by ILIONA HOSTING.

Three data centres, one network

AS201040 spans three data centres in the Paris region, each connected to the Internet at 100 Gbit/s. Four dark fibres, lit by ILIONA HOSTING itself, join them and its offices end to end, with no other operator’s network in between, so that the three work as one.

Two ways to the Internet

Two upstream transit providers carry AS201040 to the rest of the Internet, so that it does not depend on a single path: FBW Networks as primary, over a 100G port, and IELO-Liazo as secondary, over a 10G port.

Anti-DDoS, at the upstreams

Protection against denial-of-service attacks comes with the transit: each upstream filters attacks in its own network, before the traffic reaches the data centres.

FBW Networks sizes its anti-DDoS at 35 Tbit/s of mitigation capacity, built into its network. IELO-Liazo includes anti-DDoS protection in its transit, to absorb abnormal traffic without affecting legitimate traffic. The figure and the descriptions are the upstreams’ own, from their public pages.
